The road to recovery from trauma can be arduous, but you don’t have to travel it alone. I specialize in treating individual adults with trauma of all kinds, big and small. At a pace that feels right for you, we'll address both the traumatic event and its impact on anxiety/depression, physical health, relationships and the ability to trust and feel safe again.
Whether you’ve experienced physical, sexual, emotional, relational, racial or single incident trauma many years ago or in the recent past, we can begin to work through it. I collaborate with my clients to create a personalized path out of post-traumatic stress and into post-traumatic growth.
I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (CA #13491) providing services under the supervision of Briana Smith, LMFT CA #117210. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Stanford University and earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Irvine.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a rapid and effective method for processing traumatic memories. I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy or “Parts Work” to help clients better understand and manage their internal worlds. I am also trained in body-centered therapies (Somatic Experiencing & Sensorimotor Psychotherapy) that help clients regulate their nervous systems and reconnect with their body’s innate wisdom and ability to heal.
Willingness to enter into dark places in order to find the light takes great courage. If you’re ready to take your next step, let’s embark on this journey together.
