Morgan Hubbell is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who brings deep compassion and specialized expertise to her work with individuals who have grown up feeling overlooked or overly responsible in their families.
With particular focus on siblings of disabled children and adults, neurodivergent individuals, and those experiencing work or caregiving burnout, she creates a therapeutic environment where clients can explore their patterns and develop sustainable strategies that align with how they truly think, feel, and function. Morgan particularly enjoys working with clients whose current strategies and systems for engaging with life aren't working and who want to figure out what does work, as well as those who grew up in households that revolved around one sibling or parent and didn't receive the help they needed during their formative years.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Psychodynamic principles, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This comprehensive framework allows her to help clients understand the roots of their patterns through insight-oriented work while building practical, lasting tools for engaging with life more effectively. Morgan's methodology is grounded in trauma-informed care and a deep understanding of family systems, enabling her to address both the psychological impact of growing up in challenging family dynamics and the practical skills needed for healthier functioning in adulthood.
With a Master's degree from USC obtained in 2016 and EMDR training completed in 2022, Morgan brings extensive and diverse clinical experience to her practice. Her professional journey includes 2 years working in nonprofits, 5 years in school settings, and 4 years in private practice, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of mental health across different environments and populations. This varied experience has equipped her with unique insights into how systemic factors, family dynamics, and individual needs intersect to shape mental health and functioning.
Outside the therapy room, Morgan finds joy and balance through outdoor activities like walking and running, which provide her with the physical movement and fresh air that help maintain her emotional well-being. She shares her life with 2 cats and 2 dogs, understanding firsthand the healing power of animal companionship and the comfort that comes from nurturing relationships with pets. Morgan also has a sweet tooth and enjoys indulging in desserts, appreciating life's simple pleasures and the importance of allowing oneself moments of pure enjoyment.
Morgan's trauma-informed and insight-oriented approach helps clients understand the deep roots of their patterns while building sustainable strategies that honor their authentic ways of thinking, feeling, and functioning, rather than forcing them into ill-fitting solutions.
Her specialized expertise with siblings of disabled individuals and those from challenging family systems is grounded in deep compassion for people who grew up feeling overlooked, overly responsible, or unable to receive the support they needed during critical developmental years.
As a clinical supervisor, Morgan combines her extensive experience across nonprofit, educational, and private practice settings with her commitment to fostering professional growth, helping emerging therapists develop their skills while maintaining the highest standards of client care.
"I enjoy helping people learn about themselves and gain a new appreciation and understanding for the way they think and feel."
