You Don't Have to Navigate Life's Challenges Alone
Explore Your Emotions & Work Toward Meaningful Change
What is Individual Therapy?
At Be Seen Therapy, we believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, validated, and seen.
Individual therapy is a collaborative process between you and a trained therapist designed to help you understand yourself better, develop coping strategies, and work through life's challenges.
Our individual therapy sessions provide a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can:
✔ Process difficult emotions and experiences
✔ Develop healthy coping mechanisms
✔ Improve relationships with yourself and others
✔ Work through trauma and painful memories
✔ Build resilience and emotional regulation skills
✔ Create meaningful life changes
OUR APPROACH TO INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Evidence-Based Treatment Modalities
At Be Seen Therapy, we utilize proven therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
offers particularly effective treatment for trauma, anxiety, and depression by helping process "stuck" traumatic memories and allowing the brain to heal naturally from emotional distress.
Solution-focused brief Therapy (SFBT)
concentrates on your existing strengths and resources rather than dwelling on problems. This goal-oriented approach helps you identify what's already working in your life and builds upon those successes to create positive change more quickly.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
addresses the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing practical skills for managing symptoms. This evidence-based approach proves particularly effective for anxiety, depression, and stress management.
Humanistic Therapy
honors your inherent capacity for growth and self-actualization. This approach emphasizes your personal agency, authentic self-expression, and the belief that you are the expert on your own experience while creating a warm, accepting therapeutic environment.
Mind Body Approach
recognizes the interconnection between psychological and physical well-being. This integration addresses how emotions are stored in the body and uses techniques that engage both mental and physical processes for comprehensive healing.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
teaches mindfulness and emotional regulation skills that help manage intense emotions and interpersonal difficulties. These techniques are particularly beneficial for trauma recovery and building distress tolerance.
Psychodynamic Therapy
explores how past experiences and unconscious patterns influence your current relationships and behaviors. Through insight and understanding of these deeper dynamics, you can develop greater self-awareness and create lasting emotional change.
Somatic Therapy
focuses on the body's role in processing trauma and emotions. Through attention to bodily sensations, movement, and nervous system regulation, this approach helps release stored trauma and develop greater body awareness and emotional regulation.
Narrative Therapy
helps you reshape limiting personal narratives and empowers you to become the author of your own story. This approach focuses on your strengths and values while separating you from the problems you face, allowing for new possibilities and preferred life directions.
Trauma-Informed Care
Our approach recognizes how trauma affects your whole being - mind, body, and spirit.
We create a safe, supportive environment where healing can naturally occur.
