Claire has been working in the mental health field for 10 years in various states in the Midwest and south. She has worked mostly in community health clinics, hospital systems, as a medical family therapist support children, adolescents, couples, and families.
With an understanding that everyone has the ability to change and grow, she works with clients to achieve their goals by utilizing cognitive behavioral and dialectical therapy interventions and techniques. Her approach to therapy also includes mindfulness, utilizing a biopsychosocialspiritual framework with a multicultural perspective. Her focus during the first session is to assist you in creating your goals for therapy. Whether you need emotional support making life changes or have a specific issue you want to address, she hopes to work with you to attain your desired results. As an international adoptee, Claire is also passionate about supporting clients who have experienced transcultural adoption and forced migration. Claire is trained in EMDR and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. She believes that having a collaborative approach is the key to working with her clients.
For me, the heart of therapy lies in building a strong connection and offering a safe space for my clients. Without that foundation, nothing else matters. It's about cultivating trust with empathy and kindness, especially when working with individuals, couples, and families facing challenges like trauma."
Claire received her Master's of Marriage and Family Therapy from Pfeiffer University. Claire is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #132245) providing services under the supervision of Morgan Hubbell, LMFT CA #116549.
